The English thirst for exploration and colonization during 16th and early 17th century in western hemispherewas driven by three main factors; political reasons, economical reasons, and religious reasons. The mighty nation of England due to internal conditions was forced to seek a new place to inhabit thus choosing Americas as their new home. The economical reason that led to western hemisphere was that people had no money. The political reason that also became a factor to this situation was that the government/monarchy system was corrupt. Last but not the least and being one of the most important reason was that people were not being able to practice their religion freely.
The economical reason that led to western hemisphere was that people had no money. During 16th & early 17th century farmers were going through a crucial crisis. They had nothing to eat and would sell anything to get some food in their stomachs. Eventually every farmer who couldn't afford food was selling his farms and possessions to rich nobles in exchange of money. Besides the food crisis, another important thing was a reason amongst economical factors. The taxes imposed by the king were harsh and unbelievably high. A commoner, considering the money he earned could not pay taxes and support his family and thus while the exploration and colonization was taking place took a risk and became an indentured servant. Nobles who had more people working on his farm then needed also laid off those extra workers in order to pay less taxes that were being imposed on them per worker.
The political reason that also became a factor to this situation was that the government/monarchy system was corrupt. King and the nobles only looked into the matters that were in favor to them instead of thinking about the commoners.
