“This a couple of miles down the road
“This is the season where I’m resuscitating your heart while forcing you to dive a little deeper and look at your heart issues to understand My spiritual truths,” says God.
Your new transformation, to hear God’s secret plans concerning your life, starts the moment you choose to operate from a place of weakness—decreasing yourself where you decide to function from a place of cleanliness, taking off the mask, solely relying upon the leading of the Holy Spirit. As you posture yourself to enter another realm of holiness, you say to God, “I trust you. Have your way with me.” And because you have opened your mouth and changed your attitude with Him, He gives you dominion and puts you in charge here on earth (Psalm 115: 12-16, MSG). Remember, dead people can’t praise God. They can’t receive deliverance or guidance. They have no vision, no voice! But you are alive! Alive to labor in the kingdom. Alive to renew your heart and mind. Alive to find your voice, your purpose, and to fulfill your vows to God.
As you simply position yourself to be overtaken by the power of God, you make room to activate your faith and tap into your spiritual inheritance, the next dominion. As a mature believer, your next level blessing is predicated on you being available to commune with God so He can reveal His heavenly mysteries to you through the leading of His Spirit. The Gift Giver chose you. Therefore, activate your faith and tap into your Abraham inheritance.
I remember the first time I had a vision as a little girl. I was around nine or ten years old. This vision took place the day my father died in a horrific car accident. I vividly remember crying uncontrollably asking both my parents not to take my then six-month-old baby bother with them to my grandfather’s house who only lived a couple of miles down the road from us. See, it was raining excessively outside. The type of rain that was blinding to the eyes. That when the raindrops hit the pavement in the dark violently, it ferociously agitated the core of my soul. But my father assured me that all was well as he looked at me lovingly in the eyes, anxiously hopping into his old green, Chevy pickup truck. I could hear the intensity of the rain slap the tin rooftop of his pride and joy in the face. I knew my father’s spirit was churning because I could see the unsettlement in his eyes, worried about my mother’s aged father driving her to the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in bumper-to-bumper traffic the next day for surgery because he had to work…being the sole provider for our home. See, the doctors believed that my mother had tumors or a form of cancer in her uterus and they needed to take a closer look. I cried…begging them to leave my infant brother behind. Oddly enough, both my parents gave in to a relentless ten-year-old. I couldn’t shake the ominous feeling that something bad was going to happen. What, I didn’t know. But God wouldn’t allow me to shake that dark, grim feeling that overwhelmingly haunted me without pause.
It isn’t by accident that The Gift Giver chose me at that exact time to rely this message to my parents. Importantly enough, that message to leave my bother at home saved his life. That very night, a drunk driver hit my father’s truck head-on. My mother was injured in that gruesome accident that left her hundred percent disabled, a widow at age thirty-three of five, young children ranging from the ages of twelve to six months.
My destiny, your destiny was already laid out before the foundation of the world. As a matter of fact, The Gift Giver knows the plans for your life. He allowed every challenge, hurtful situation, and test to prepare you for your destiny. No matter the intensity of your labor pains as you travail, just like the untimely death of my father, the pain you feel is part of the His purposeful plan “to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11, ESV) that draws you closer to Him. Everything you do, you do it for His glory. And when you understand certain spiritual principles that govern your life, your kingdom inheritance is guaranteed and forthcoming.
A spiritual connection to The Gift Giver is life-changing and life-making. But the gift from The Giver can’t transform you if you resist Him. Trust me. The Spirit knows who’s willing to play full out or who will betray Him. Think about it! When Judas betrays Jesus, The Gifter of salvation wasn’t surprised. He knew that Satan had conspired with Judas, also known as Iscariot. Even though Judas was chosen as one of the Twelve, greed and a lack of faith intensified his need to forfeit his kingdom position and spiritual inheritance during a time of mass drama and deadly tension. Only the Gift Giver, the Father, is able to handpick, separate, and anoint the kingdom shifters who are truly willing to work in His vineyard with pure confidence and a right heart.
The shift that’s taking place in your life is forcing you to clear up grudges, celebrate God, and revel in His presence. At this very moment, I believe The Gift Giver is speaking to your heart telling you not to waver in your faith. Stay in a pure posture, refusing to veer off course, and make your stance clear! When the world sees you, the world should know that you operate from a place of light, not darkness. There shouldn’t be any confusion, right? Your brothers and sisters should see that you’re an ambassador for Christ. By you exhibiting a Christ-centered heart, those who see you clearly understand that Christ is alive and real.
And because you were willing to accept that Satan has no power over you, you just opened the door to change your destiny. How? Because you are willing to believe good things can happen to you. Good things aren’t only set aside for some people. God is not a respecter of person. He is fulfilling your destiny too. So, stop fretting about the plans God has concerning your life because you do not serve a God who wants you to worry about how you are going to eat, where you are going to live, or how you will tap into your destiny and impact the world. He is the ultimate Gift Giver of peace and master scheduler of destiny appointments. Yes! Certain tribulations will manifest, but take heart that you are connected to a God who gifts those diligently according to his or her ways and to the seeds that you plant-bearing good fruit that helps to nourish His kingdom.
Instead of worrying, God calls upon you to pray. That’s right! Make Jesus the focus of your day and kingdom assignment. You serve a God who lavishly provides for you. When God assigns you with a task, He provides the keys for certain doors to be suddenly unlocked. The Gift Giver isn’t a time waster. He’s unselfishly renders advice and gives instructions to those seeking wisdom. The more you trust God, you become a child of faith, an ambassador in good standings with Him. A child of the Most High is blessed beyond measure like Abraham-who lived by faith. Living by faith isn’t a new concept! In fact, Christ is a redeemer who desires for you to tap into your kingdom inheritance like Abraham and Mary. The blessings of Abraham, your earthly inheritance, isn’t just stored up for Jews, it’s stored up and waiting to be released to non-Jews, too.
As believers, God is creating a new thing within you. He’s positioning you to participate in what He calls “free life” (Galatians 3:15-18, MSG). When you take that first step and rectify (give your approval, consent, or endorse) God’s promises concerning your life, no one can break that covenant but you. When Mary said, “YES” to God’s assignment, she came into a spiritual agreement with The Gift Giver. Additionally, Abraham was made certain promises regarding his family and his descendants. Your submission, your bond, your “YES” to The Gift Giver is a legal agreement that can’t be broken unless you renege on your end of the deal. You have the capacity to change your trajectory in this new season. This is your “come back” season where you’re coming out and letting the world know you’re operating on a different level called faith or better yet, obedience to the Holy Spirit. As a faith builder, you’re radical and willing to shake up the kingdom by faith. Because The Gift Giver is faithful in accomplishing His purpose, this is the season where you tap into your inheritance by working for the Lord Christ. And by working diligently for Him, you become an heir, creating a lasting legacy by The Giver who righteously qualifies you to share in His blessings. According to Deuteronomy 28:1-14, New International Version (NIV) Bible, the Word says, if you fully obey God, God sets you apart and above all nations. He blesses you abundantly in the city and country. Your womb, your fields, and your livestock bears a bountiful harvest for the world to witness. You are blessed as you come and go throughout the kingdom. Your enemy is defeated and flee in the opposite direction of his/her attack. Your hands and your land are blessed beyond measure. God recognizes you as a holy person and the people of God’s kingdom sees His favor in your life and recognize you as holy. Prosperity chases you down and favor overtakes you. Your storehouse overflows to the point where you’re able to lend and never again borrow. He places you as the head and not the tail. And because God is so powerful, He moves you from the bottom of the totem pole and positions you at the top of the hierarchy chart within His kingdom when you activate your faith. Amen!
Remember, things will never change for you until you allow The Gift Giver total access to your life. Don’t you know that total access requires a change in attitude? Philippians 2:14-15 (ESV) reminds you to “Do all things without grumbling or questioning, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world…”. Change in attitude starts with you fearing and honoring The Gift Giver. Understand this! You are your worse enemy. The more you exercise your faith, the more The Gift Giver considers you trustworthy and releases details to your inheritance blueprint. When Mary accepted The Gift Giver’s assignment for her life, He considered her faithful and titled her as “highly favored”. Just like Mary, The Giver of gifts is ready to distribute your assignment, so you too can tap into your kingdom promises, which is your inheritance. But the only way to encounter this move of God is to experience Him firsthand when you allow Him to strip you of the mask that you have hidden behind for quite some time.
The moment Mary said “YES”, her life was transformed. The minute I said, “YES”, my life was transformed. Believe it or not, God favored me despite my enemies or brokenness. There was a point in my life when I should have been homeless, but God granted me additional years to live in my home without a job or a government approved disability check. That’s called grace. When there was no money in sight, bill collectors couldn’t believe a person with a doctorate couldn’t find a job or interviews weren’t flowing in, God provided for my needs because of my faith. When friends and family members walked away, refused to answer my calls, failed to reply to emails, or refused to loan/gift me money, God made a way showing me that His grace was sufficient. Do you see how faith works? Do you seek how inheritance works when you collide with destiny?
Many nights as I lie sick in my body crying, worried, and negotiating with God out of ignorance and sheer desperation, God stepped in and covered me with favor. What changed the course of my life? I surrendered, allowing The Gift Giver to gracefully break me so He could position me for greater. I stood on faith even as calamity was breaking out all around me. I can honestly admit I was broken in spirit, and I was fearful about my future. Over the years, people who truly knew my full testimony because they had a front row seat to what seemed to be my up close and personal biopic playing in real time would ask…
“How can you pray for others, preach and believe for others when you’re going through so much?”
“Some of these people don’t care about you, you can look at them and tell they only want a prophetic word?”
“Just look…they can’t see you’re in pain?”
I believe both the questions and statement above is a true testament of Romans 12:2 (ESV), “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” I asked God to show me how not to hate or show jealousy toward those who didn’t discern my heighten pain or mounting trauma from the compounding calamities that relentlessly refused to let me breathe.
Romans 12:2 says,
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
The oppositions that I was up against proved to be challenging, but I passed my test. And each time I passed my test, the layers of pain fell off and God gave me one more inheritance piece to the puzzle that moved me one step closer to my destiny. The more I prayed and exercised meekness, God’s favor showered upon me like a ray of sunshine peeking through the clouds during some of my darkest days.
Matthew 7:11 (NIV) reminds us that God gives gifts to those who ask Him. So, open your heart by faith and receive the good gifts that God wants to share with you. For example, when you’re willing to walk by compassion and speak with compassion God will open a multitude of doors even if you feel like the challenges of life overtakes you. My setback in late 2013 really conditioned me for how my thoughts were to line up with the words of God in an effort to manifest my spiritual inheritance. I could have chosen the route of wearing my stone, cold heart tattooed on my chest opening for everyone to see showcasing that I had become this emotionless, so-called Christian woman who was damaged by the repetitive struggles of life. But instead, God convicted my heart every time I wanted to be a calculating B****. Because let’s be honest, the world had hurt me, and I thought God cared nothing about me. But the more I offered up a sacrifice of praise, The Gift Give created a new platform that would soften not only my heart but to the hearts of broken women around the country. My platform From Brokenness to Faith was birthed from pain. Since 2016, I’ve ministered to many women whose hearts, just like mind, were broken into a million little piece. But God! He thought enough of my pain to transform it into a ministry where I tour city to city, in a one-day live event, laying hands, prophesying, and ministering into the lives of hurting women and a few men who refuse to discount my ministry because I’m a woman chosen by God. These women collect the broken pieces from their heart and place them at the altar as they engage in a raw, unadulterated, unscripted well encounter with Jesus. As God leads women from city to city to host this yearly tour, I’m amazed at the women who show up expecting to hear a revelation from God concerning their life. And just imagine, this move of God was birthed from my place call brokenness and willingness to give God my heart.
When I think about the pain that I’ve endured over the years, I can’t forget how my mind constantly runs across Jabez in 1 Chronicles 4 (NLT). But what stood out to me the most was the fact that his mother named him, Jabez, meaning pain because her labor was so unbearable. I could only imagine Mary or myself naming our little ones such a name, especially if we knew first hand the pain our births would cause directly or indirectly. Verse 10 says Jabez “…was the one who prayed to the God of Israel.” Part of his prayer was “Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!” What a powerful prayer, right? Jabez prayed this powerful, yet, simple prayer daily and by faith, he tapped into his inheritance and shift his destiny despite his name. Because Jabez wasn’t afraid to ask for what he wanted, God granted his request because He’s the ultimate Gift Giver. See, that’s the beauty of being a faith builder when you speak, things happen. When you shift the way you think, God sees that you’re not willing to dwell on your pain, which He then can heal you, the brokenhearted and bind up the wounds that are causing pain (Psalm 34:18, ESV).
The Gift Giver doesn’t have a problem promoting you throughout the kingdom. He actually wants to see you walk in influence when you fix the very thing that’s broken. Remember, part of His job is to stay close to the brokenhearted and save those who are “crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18, ESV). I believe right now that part of your purpose is to help heal the brokenhearted. That’s right! You are meant to touch the world and the church with God’s assignment for your life. Many people will not understand your assignment. Mary’s community didn’t understand her pregnancy and neither did Joseph until He was paid a visitation from the Lord. What am I saying? God’s paying you a visitation to prepare you for the favor that’s about to show up in your life because of the pain that you’ve endured. Therefore, get ready to reach a massive array of people with your kingdom influence who you may have never reached had you refused your God assignment. Your influence is needed to bring more people to the altar of God so they can break free and help others tap into their kingdom inheritance from the Gift Giver. Think about this! Through faith and patience, God is releasing supernatural clarity in preparation for your survival as you shift to another level. So by God’s grace, get ready to launch forward and be a light to the world. As God gives you clarity concerning your purpose, you must finish what you start as God shows you how to move in faith because He’s increasing your knowledge and confidence. The more God grows your faith showing you how to tap into your spiritual anointing, people will witness and testify about the glory of God shining over your life like Saul when He was able to prophesy when He came into contact with a group of prophets in 1 Samuel 10:6-11. Or Like Daniel, God faithfully favored him in the Lion’s Den. Additionally, an angel of the Lord favored Mary to escape the horrid hands of Herod after giving birth or when Esther was favored and summoned to rise up at a certain time to save her people from a massive slaughter. As you wear faith like a cloak, the Gift Giver grows your confidence launching you forward in the kingdom, too. Everywhere you go, God’s favor follows you, allowing you to enlarge your territory. When God endorse you, you don’t have to beg for favor because God’s favor becomes clear over your life. Faith opens doors by the Gift Giver that man cannot shut. When God charges His angels to protect you, these angels go before you as God guides and directs your kingdom assignment. As God releases you into the kingdom, your life changes forever. God is the only endorser you need.
How can your pain be used to position you for destiny?
What are you willing to tweak in life to activate faith and favor?
When was the last time you experienced extraordinary favor?
How do you react when God changes your normal?
When your situation change, how do you assert yourself to manifest destiny?
Winning can change the trajectory of your life, but how do you rest from all your distractions when God has called you to a new season?
When was the last time the Gift Giver granted you supernatural favor that blew your mind?
