Engineers have devoted their time and efforts

Published by admin on

Engineers have devoted their time and efforts in making great technological advancements for the human race. They have proposed many options and ideas in making the world a great place to live in. The engineers of the 21st Century will follow in the same path. The engineering community must think about change and plan for the coming century. Change is a continual process that must be woven into the very fabric of our engineering and scientific endeavors. If they are to successfully meet the challenges of the 21st Century, it is crucial that they keep their finger on the pulse of ever-changing technologies.

One major issue that is to be dealt with is human cloning. Human cloning got underway with the successful cloning of the sheep “Dolly” in 1997. It became evident that sooner or later, scientists might be able to clone human beings, too. In order to clone a human being scientist must read and map the Human Genetic Code. Humans have 46 chromosomes. Every cell in the body has its own edition of the complete 3 billion-letter code. Reading it, however, is much more difficult than reading a linear text, because placements and relationships along the text line combine to form other unknown levels of coded information and instruction.
Cloning is a very intricate process and it requires special equipment and modern technology. To begin, a cell is removed from the organism that is going to be replicated, also known as the donor. The cell is extracted by an incision in the skin, a sample of blood or even a piece of the actual skin. Next, the second reproductive cell is taken from the female organism. The entire DNA is removed from the nucleus. A small amount of DNA is also removed from the donors cell nucleus. Genetic engineers insert the cells into the female and later the female will give birth to a baby that was not naturally conceived. The cells are inserted by needle to the uterus and take on the natural process of splitting into two cells. However, this process can not be done because reading and mapping the human genetic code has proven to be impossible. If the engineers of the 21st Century can come up with a way to map and read the DNA of a human then the human cloning process can be completed. The process of cloning would inevitably invite the use of other genetic technologies, specifically genetic manipulation of cloned embryos, and this could result in permanent, heritable changes to the human gene pool. Genetic engineers along with other would be playing a major role in the cloning of humans in the 21st Century. Huge amounts of money are at stake in human cloning research.
Overall, the process of human cloning has its pros and cons. Many say that human cloning can help people, while others say it spoils the human identity. Whatever the opinion, one thing is for sure; science of the 21st century will forge ahead, with engineers leading us farther and farther into discovering the very essence of man.

Romeo to be doing without thinking about the

Published by admin on

Romeo and Juliet is a play about two silly, immature teenagers who lack
common sense. Therefore, the play expresses the danger of a love in which two
people become the whole world to one another. To what extent do you agree or
disagree? The story of Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy. The two lovers go against
their families and against their hate to be together but they dont think
about the consequences, which in the end are devastating. Romeo and Juliet
engage in a love that they believe is the one true love. They dont even know
each other and dont know each others personality so they can only be
attracted sexually. Instead of taking things slowly and getting to know each
other or on the other hand engage in a type of relationship just to satisfy each
others desires they act like they have known each other for a long time and that
they cant live one without the other. At the start of the play we see that
Romeo is in love with Roseline and that he only talks about her but when he
meets Juliet at the party he totally forgets Roseline and falls in love with
Juliet. Friar Laurence clearly states this to Romeo: Is Rosaline, whom thou
didst love so dear, so soon forsaken? Young mens love then lies not truly in
their hearts, but in their eyes. This is exactly how Romeo behaves. Juliet on
the other hand had to marry Count Paris so her love with Romeo is simply a way
to get out of it. She never had a relationship with a man and she didnt like
to have her first and only relationship with a man her parents arranged for her.

She wanted freedom and Romeo was her ticket to it. During the story Romeo and
Juliet convince them selves to be in love with each other and they become
obsessed, not with the love for each other, but with the fact of being in love
with each other. Young people like to do forbidden things it gives them a
feeling of exhilaration and freedom and thats exactly what Romeo and Juliet
were doing. They did what they were not supposed to be doing without thinking
about the consequences and simply hoping for the best. In the end their acts
concluded to their own deaths.

Romeo with Romeo. The most important similarity is

Published by admin on

Romeo and Juliet began as an ancient ritualistic tale. It was chanted or spoken in unison by a stage full of monks. When Shakespeare was alive and writing his plays, the church was openly opposed to theatre. Sometimes, it could manage to have theatres shut down merely because they believed it was wrong. The church also disallowed female participation in the theatre. So, in Shakespeare’s time, Juliet would have been played by a young boy. Shakespeare used astrological terms in many of his plays. A good example of a astrological term in Romeo and Juliet Is in the Prologue: “star-crossed lovers”.

The two main characters, Romeo and Juliet both came from different families. That would normally be okay, but not in Shakespeare’s play. The two families don’t exactly get along. Romeo, of the Montagues fell in love with Juliet, from the Capulet family despite the feud that they knew would never end. The Montagues and the Capulets were both royal families but both acted very immaturely.

Friar Lawrence and Nurse were both different from each other in many different ways. Friar Lawrence was more of a “neutral”. Nurse was dedicated to the Capulets, but tried to keep Juliet happy with Romeo. Nurse was not true to Juliet to the end like Friar Lawrence was to Romeo. Friar Lawrence helped the two out when Nurse could do nothing.

Nurse and Friar Lawrence were also alike in many ways. For instance, both help Romeo and Juliet a lot. Friar Lawrence and Nurse both know about the wedding. Nurse agrees with Juliet in the beginning. Friar Lawrence is eventually convinced to agree with Romeo. The most important similarity is that both care about and care for Romeo and Juliet very much.

Friar Lawrence and Nurse both affected the outcome greatly. Nurse relayed messages from Juliet to Romeo. These messages that Nurse carried helped set up one of Friar Lawrence’s most important parts in the play: the marriage. If the two teenagers hadn’t been married, most likely, the ending would have been different. The marriage between Romeo and Juliet was what caused Juliet’s emotional anguish after Romeo killed Tybalt. That is the reason Juliet went to such extremes to get to Romeo. Finally, that is what caused the suicides. Nurse and Friar Lawrence had a great influence on the outcome of Shakespeare’s famous play, Romeo and Juliet.
