Health disparity are
avertible health status of different group of people like races, skin color,
language, socioeconomic resources, gender and age (Edelman, Kudzma, &
Mandle, 2014). Health disparities are arbitrary and explicit to historical and
present uneven distribution of political, economic, social, and environmental
resources. A disparity can also be related to education, where dropping out of
school occurs associated with various social and health problems (CDC,2017). Comprehensively,
person with inadequate education are more likely to struggle number of health
risks such as substance abuse, obesity, and traumatic injuries, compared to
individual who receive more education. One of the main findings within health
disparities in history over 15 years in Canada is it’s a broad array of health
and disease event. Like diabetes, health behavior for instance smoking and
drinking. There were also deliberate prevalence of chronic and contagious
diseases in Canada, and generally observed that people in low income households
had the most higher chronic conditions among the prosperous households. Health
risk behaviors are also manifest in Canada where rates of smoking and
alcoholism among off-reserve Aboriginal people were twice as high as
non-Aboriginal individuals. Furthermore, suicide within Aboriginal people was
greater than the rest of Canadian population’s suicide rate (Frohlich, Ross, &
Richmond, 2006).

In this paper, it will discourse
about how alcoholism in Aboriginal male teenagers ages between 15-24 is going
to affect their lifestyle. Nowadays, in an early age they were starting to
adapt and engage to vices like smoking and drinking alcohol. Some of them were
not in school because their parents don’t allow them to attend to. For the
reason that, Aboriginal mostly live with the historical event that their
ancestors had encounter. Situation that leave mark to their lives, like event
in residential school on how they treat students that’s why parents are afraid
and don’t allow their children to attend school. For some reason teenagers who
don’t go to school, unemployed usually engaged to substance-use. At some point
in their lives they experience pressure and stress, that determinants of health
take place especially income. Lower income people live in a more stressful
environment and goes under stressful conditions. It will also talk about a
possible health promotion strategy to be used and barriers that will affect the
access of that certain strategy.
